JOB TITLE: Director of Domestic Franchise Sales
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Franchise Sales will work closely with the VP of Domestic Franchise Development and Sales to drive new territory growth across the U.S. for Magnolia Bakery. More specifically, the Director of Franchise Sales will be the initial point person and handle all domestic franchise inquiries, educating each on the Magnolia Bakery opportunity plus model, and progressing qualified candidates through the franchise sales funnel from initial call to franchise award. This role will require a roll up your sleeves and make things happen mindset, as well as an ability to build strong internal and external relationships, and create compelling value propositions for joining the Magnolia Bakery family.
REPORTS TO: VP of Domestic Franchise Development and Sales COMPENSATION: $91,200 - $135,000 plus 10% annual bonus eligibility LOCATION: Remote or Hybrid - New York or Florida states only
PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Respond to all franchise inquiries and create a sales funnel of qualified leads by screening and evaluating qualified candidates based on their development capacity, operational skill level and financial qualifications to ensure the candidate's facility meets established qualification criteria. Guide all franchise candidates through the initial discovery process to include initial consults, business presentations, FDD and market review calls, with end goal of bringing a qualified percentage of candidates through to Discovery Day, which are held monthly at our New York City Home Office, and then the best ones from there to the Franchise Approval Committee for formal approval and franchise award. Provide general administrative support to the franchise sales and development department to include but not limited to weekly departmental reporting, planning and coordinating meetings / events, making reminder phone calls and / or emails to franchise candidates. Work closely with the VP of Domestic Franchise Development and Sales to achieve short and long-term growth goals. Assist the VP of Domestic Franchise Development and Sales plus Franchise Administration Manager post sale to ensure successful on-boarding of all new Magnolia Bakery franchise owners. Anything and everything else that is required to produce desired results QUALIFICATIONS: 5 to 7 years of leading a successful franchise sales and development team that consistently exceeded yearly sales goals. Retail/Hospitality or F&B/QSR industry experience preferred, but not essential. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or a relevant field of work. Experience with FranConnect required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent at building rapport with candidates, new franchise owners and company employees. Ability to follow a prescribed sales process. Working knowledge of standard franchise documents to include FDD's, Franchise and Area Development Agreements. High energy, positive outlook and can work collaboratively across departments. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Strong presentation skills and are comfortable with technology. Ability to travel as necessary to the Home Office in New York City for company meetings and / or Discovery Days. In addition, can travel to trade shows, industry conventions and franchise conferences across the U.S. as well.
