Overview
Director of Sales & Business Development – PIA Capital & PIA Lending is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Miami, FL. The position leads mortgage sales operations across PIA Lending and PIA Capital, builds and manages a high-performing sales team, and cultivates strong relationships with clients, brokers, and strategic partners.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed origination goals aligned with company objectives.
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with brokers, developers, investors, flippers, wholesalers, and other referral sources to generate new business.
Drive origination and closing of loans, including hard money, construction, bridge, and other financing solutions.
Build and nurture client relationships, delivering exceptional service and tailored financial solutions.
Monitor South Florida market trends, regulations, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members, fostering accountability and high performance.
Collaborate with leadership to align sales strategies with company goals and explore partnership opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations in every aspect of sales and loan origination.
Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and present strategic recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, mortgage sales, or related field, with a proven track record of leading successful sales teams.
Current NMLS license in good standing.
Strong knowledge of commercial mortgage products (SBA, CMBS, bridge loans) and the South Florida real estate market.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams to achieve ambitious targets.
Established network of industry contacts and referral sources.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial solutions clearly.
Practical success in the field valued over formal academic credentials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Must be based in or relocate to Miami, South Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships with commercial real estate brokers, banks, or other referral sources in South Florida.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Base + Bonus. Competitive, commensurate with experience.
