Role Overview
The company is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead its commercial solar division. This senior leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in B2B sales, preferably within renewable energy or solar, and a strong understanding of how technology including AI can enhance sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing commercial solar sales team
Identify new market opportunities and target high-potential segments
Optimize the sales process using CRM and AI-powered tools
Cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners
Oversee proposal development and solar financing models (PPAs, leases, etc.)
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports
Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and incentives
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, operations, and finance
Represent the company at industry events and networking functions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
7-10 years of progressive B2B sales experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role
Proven success in exceeding sales targets
Experience in commercial solar or renewable energy preferred
Strong understanding of solar financing and incentive programs
Familiarity with AI-powered sales tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Willingness to travel as needed
