We are a leading large-scale special event food and beverage services provider in the San Francisco Bay Area. Seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead our account management team and drive revenue growth. This hands-on role involves managing a 7-person sales team, mentoring for performance, and personally securing key business opportunities. Ideal candidate has strong corporate catering sales experience, a proven track record of exceeding targets, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Management:
Manage and develop a high-performing 7-person sales team.
Set performance goals, sales targets, and KPIs.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and evaluations to boost productivity.
Foster a positive, motivated, results-driven culture.
Oversee business development and client retention efforts.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new opportunities in the corporate event market.
Generate leads via networking, cold calling, and industry events.
Conduct presentations, site visits, and tastings for prospects.
Close deals to meet or exceed targets.
Sales Strategy, Execution & Client Experience:
Analyze market trends, competitors, and performance data to refine strategies.
Collaborate on promotional campaigns, sales materials, and outreach events.
Strategize and close key accounts.
Champion superior client care across all touchpoints.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Partner to ensure smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Align sales with company-wide objectives and long-term goals.
Represent at events, industry functions, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
5+ years in a sales leadership role.
Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and develop teams.
Strategic thinker able to analyze data, forecast trends, and implement strategies.
Hands-on sales expertise in business development and client relations.
Ability to identify, engage, and close sales.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
