Role Overview:
Talento has partnered with a fast-growing, PE-backed distributor of fresh food products, that is seeking a Director of Sales to lead their local sales team and drive new business growth. Headquarters in Birmingham, the company has expanded from $10M to $80M in revenue over the past decade, serving QSRs, major distributors, and regional foodservice customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and grow a high-volume sales team
Build and execute a sales strategy focused on new net accounts, expansion of existing accounts and organic growth.
Develop relationships with distributors, food companies, and QSR chains.
Implement sales processes, CRM, account planning, and forecasting.
Serve as a hunter-coach: win new business while developing your team.
Requirements:
Proven success in fresh food distribution or foodservice sales.
Experience building sales teams and incentive programs.
Hunter mentality with strong leadership and coaching skills.
Knowledge of QSR, distributor, and food service sales cycles.
Strong ties to the Birmingham/Huntsville market.
