Position Title: Employee Benefits Sales Consultant

Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Location: Remote (Northeast U.S. territory, with manageable travel)

Schedule: Fully remote role with flexible work arrangements; day trips with occasional overnight travel required

Pay Rate: $100,000 $150,000 base salary, plus 40% commission on new business and 25% residuals on renewals (top performers earn $500K$850K+)


About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Consultant to drive new business growth in the Northeast for a leading employee benefits and insurance firm. This fully remote role offers autonomy to manage your territory while leveraging strong organizational support and dedicated service teams. You will build and manage referral networks, prospect and engage HR and finance leaders at mid-market companies, and act as a trusted consultant delivering tailored benefits solutions across insurance, retirement, and technology platforms. Core responsibilities include generating new business, developing referral relationships, presenting strategic benefits solutions, collaborating with internal teams for seamless implementation, and ensuring ongoing client satisfaction. The role combines entrepreneurial independence with uncapped commissions, long-term residuals, and performance incentives. Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in employee benefits, payroll, HCM, or a related field
  • Strong network of industry contacts and ability to build referral relationships
  • Proven success selling to HR and finance decision-makers in mid-market companies
  • Hunter mentality with ability to self-generate new business
  • Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory (primarily day trips with occasional overnights)
  • Ability to work independently while leveraging internal support teams


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 $150,000
  • Commission: 40% on new business, 25% residuals on renewals
