As an Agent with FBL Financial Group, Inc. and its Affiliates - Omaha, you will work closely with clients to help them identify their everyday risks. We offer all lines of insurance, but the initial focus for our Agents is the traditional Home/Auto/Umbrella products, and life insurance products. Our Agents educate clients on how our products will help protect them from their everyday risks. The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communication skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we’ll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative! Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 yearly Responsibilities: Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met
Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals
Offer personal attention when pursuing new clients through various marketing strategies to grow your existing portfolio of policyholders
Spend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstances
Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients
Qualifications: Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial
Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus
Candidates must have some computer experience, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs
Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders
