Consumer Fresh Produce, Inc. is the region’s 1st Choice wholesale and distributor for fresh fruit and vegetable commodities. Currently we have an opportunity for an Entry-Level Produce Sales Associate to join our team to continue to deliver the high level of service we provide to our customers. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.


This position offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in both sales and purchasing within the fresh produce sector. As you demonstrate success and develop expertise, you will have opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and advance into higher-level roles within the organization.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas: Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with basic sales and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based in Pittsburgh, PA, with occasional time in warehouse and produce market settings.
  • Occasional travel for customer visits or industry events.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings or weekends during peak produce seasons.
Requirements:

KEY ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

Support for Lead Buyers

  • Assist with managing communications between suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate orders, deliveries, and inventory tracking to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to produce purchasing.

Sales Support & Business Development

  • Support and manage customer accounts, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Help prepare sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
  • Conduct market research to monitor trends, identify potential customers, and explore growth opportunities.
  • Assist in developing strategies to expand customer relationships and increase market share.

Market & Data Analysis

  • Monitor produce market trends, pricing fluctuations, and seasonal availability.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with analytics and operations teams to create accurate sales forecasts and inventory reports.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and handle data entry tasks.
  • Prepare and distribute internal reports on sales performance and inventory status.
  • Provide images of products for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Offer general office support and handle routine administrative tasks as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the buying team, sales department, and external partners.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback during team meetings to improve processes and drive sales initiatives.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication to support smooth operational workflows.

Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, shippers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Represent Consumer Fresh Produce, Inc. at customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
