The Event Sales Manager oversees all aspects of facility rental and event sales for the Museum. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in each event at MAACM. A successful candidate possesses strong creative problem-solving skills, is flexible, and must be comfortable working individually, in groups, and across departments. The Museum of the American Arts and Crafts Movement is located in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Our 137,000 sq. ft museum dedicated to the American Arts and Crafts movement displays the unapparelled collection of the Two Red Roses Foundation. The collection consists of decorative and fine arts from the early twentieth century including furniture, pottery, metalwork, lighting, jewelry, photography, watercolors, oil paintings, and woodblock prints. Key Responsibilities: Event Sales: · Coordinate and serve as the primary contact for all facility rentals at the museum. · Communicate museum policies and procedures that support and promote appropriate space usage on the museum's property. · Ensure all contracts, invoices, and insurance(s) have been obtained for each event. · Oversee event scheduling and ensure there are no internal museum conflicts. · Meet facility rental sales goals, and create and maintain expense and revenue budgets. · Coordinate across departments (Facilities and Operations, Security, Catering, etc.) on all facility rental logistics including but not limited to room set-ups, equipment rentals, media services, parking, and day of event operations. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: · Bachelor's degree · 2+ years overseeing event sales experience · Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and community building skills · Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to follow-up · Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills · Comfort with compiling and analyzing numbers and statistics. Proficient in Word and Excel · Ability to lead teams, work collaboratively with colleagues, and manage projects This position works Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, however, adjustments to the schedule are expected when events fall outside these hours.
