Position Summary The Executive Director, US Marketing role is critical to the ongoing success of the US Business. They will be expected to deliver aggressive, yet achievable, revenue growth and profitability targets by driving key product management and support activities to achieve commercial objectives. The Executive Director will be a key member of the US Leadership Team and work closely with the US Commercial including the Sales organization, Commercial Strategy and Operations, Market Access, Patient Experience, the global marketing team and other internal stakeholders to ensure the priorities are aligned, strategies are implemented, and the sales force is supported. They will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure coordination and consistency of brand positioning, messaging, and differentiation. The ideal candidate has successfully launched and spearheaded the commercial path for significant marketed products across numerous specialty therapeutic areas. The model candidate will be a strategist with the ability to communicate the commercial foresight across the organization and to key external stakeholders. They will be a self-motivated manager with effective leadership and management skills who will motivate others to achieve desired results providing clear direction, active communication, mentorship and the creation of a shared vision.
Roles and Responsibilities Lead our multi-product rare disease product portfolio and aligned team. Ensure the delivery of our aspirations including financial, strategic and tactical objectives of each brand.
Lead the development and successful implementation of US commercial strategic and operating plans ensuring the company’s near and long-term objectives are met and/or exceeded. Convey a clear vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Translate market changes and data into distinct business plans and incorporate into an executable marketing plan including anticipation of and reaction to the competitive landscape.
Provide leadership in the selection, expansion, motivation and retention of a high-performing Marketing organization, including mentoring and coaching to direct reports to optimize performance and career development.
Manage the US brand planning process, including brand optimization, launch readiness, budget planning, QBRs, etc.
Build and manage resources including annual objectives, budgets and agency management.
Steer the strategy and execution of all activities related to marketing and branding. Ensure coordination and consistency of brand positioning, messaging and differentiation on a global basis.
Establish strong relationships and collaborative joint ventures with key stakeholders to create global advocacy.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with internal policies, industry codes (e.g., PhRMA, EFPIA), and applicable laws and regulations.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with marketing campaigns, product launches, and stakeholder engagement.
Educational Requirements An undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline is required
Professional Work Experience Requirements A minimum of 10 years of Pharma/Biotech marketing experience along with substantial launch experience at a senior level. Sales experience is a plus. Small and/or mid-sized company experience is preferred.
Commercial leadership expertise within specialty, orphan or rare disease products and an authentic commitment to working closely with the patient community.
Complete grasp of standard marketing discipline with a track record in brand marketing, product management and successful global product launches; robust analytical skills and a strategic yet hands-on execution approach.

Compensation and Benefits The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is between $285,000 and $315,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by location, skills, experience, and education. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan (401K), paid time off, performance-based bonuses, stock options, RSUs, and other discretionary awards. Details will be provided during the hiring process.
