Sales Outfitter Position The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The Sales Outfitter demonstrates products to customers, replenishes product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, remains a product "expert" through ongoing product knowledge training, and remains knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintains pricing and signing. They assist with "seasonal" floor merchandise moves, restock merchandise as required, keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies, and follow all company policies and procedures. The Sales Outfitter provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based on this analysis, and promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up. All other duties as assigned. The minimum degree required is a high school education or equivalent experience. The Sales Outfitter must have the ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers, communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers, establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers, and operate a computerized point of sale register system. Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include constantly standing and/or walking during the shift, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., constantly communicating with others to exchange information, occasionally repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools, occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed), occasionally working in tight and confined spaces, and occasionally working in noisy environments. The Sales Outfitter performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. They choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems and occasionally make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
