As our next Global Sales Director, Core, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our organization's success. Summary: This position will lead the global sales team for our Core Business Unit focused on medical and industrial markets. The team consists of regional sales managers (RSMs) and team leaders that span the globe. The RSMs are remote-based technical subject matter experts with strong sales acumen who manage regional sales opportunities for our connector products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating progressive sales strategies, building high performing sales teams and individuals, and sustaining strong relationships with distribution partners and key customers. This role is critical in connecting our customers and external sales team to the broader business and as such the preferred location is based in our Minnesota, USA headquarters office. This position reports directly to the General Manager, Core.
Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic plans for the global sales team to meet the business objectives of the Core Business Unit.
Build high-performing teams across the globe that are aligned to business goals and motivated to continuously improve their overall skills and performance.
Build a strong understanding of customers and their markets by leveraging a wide range of information sources.
Develop and execute effective sales channel strategies based on regional and market dynamics.
Ensure effective global collaboration across teams for account strategy and opportunity management.
Connect our customers and external sales teams to the broader business through effective communication and cross-functional leadership engagement and alignment.
Work with Business Unit leadership to aid in VOC of customer needs and potential new technologies that can grow CPC's presence in the market.
Develop and drive strategies to leverage and improve sales tools and processes to effectively manage new customer accounts, opportunities, application details, and large account management.
Create guidelines and best practices to encourage value selling and ensure CPC's value proposition is properly conveyed.
Develop and monitor effective sales metrics that highlight successes as well as opportunities for improvement. Report out on a monthly basis the performance of the global teams.
Develop and maintain an environment of high ethical values, open dialogue, and a culture of shared success.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related business or science degree (technical degree preferred). MBA degree preferred.
5+ years' minimum experience in sales leadership roles, 10+ years preferred.
Proven ability to build high-performing teams of sales professionals through effective coaching, mentoring, delegation, and ability to motivate others.
Demonstrated ability to work productively in a complex business environment and leverage it towards goal achievement.
Proven experience in developing strategies for strategic selling, account management, and opportunity funnel management.
Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow senior-level customer relationships.
Strong ability to work collaboratively across all business functions and effectively integrate sales into key decision-making and strategy development.
Demonstrated overachievement against aggressive goals set in previous positions. Professional self-starter who thrives in working in an autonomous environment and actively looking for opportunities to grow the business.
Thoughtful but decisive, with a strong bias for action and a proactive vs. reactive approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mentality.
Ability to effectively present information cross-functionally and respond to difficult questions from internal groups and external customers.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
International experience in sales roles and/or managing international sales teams preferred.
Experience with multiple channels of supply including distribution, integrators, and Original Equipment Manufacturers preferred.
Previous employment at a medical or industrial component supplier preferred.
Experience with CRM programs and leveraging them as a sales tool preferred.
Ability to leverage social media preferred.
Travel: Up to 50%; Domestic and international.

Pay Range: $210,000.00 - $240,000.00 / Annually This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
