Purpose Sells new equipment to local state and federal government agencies within an assigned region or account. Responsibilities Maintains expertise in government selling and full understanding of all John Deere Contracts for states where dealership sells Subject Matter Expert in Government Sales for the assigned region Develops the Government Sales business plan for the region and reviews progress regularly Manages and submits government bids for the assigned region Develops and executes the Sales Department metrics and goals for Government segment Executes an effective whole goods marketing strategy (Government related Direct mail, website content and events) Works with Parts and Service Managers or the Corporate Aftermarket Manager to promote customer satisfaction Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge 2+ years equipment sales experience Experience with John Deere and competitive products preferred. Experience using John Deere sales computer applications and tools, preferred. Experience with software applications such as Microsoft Office. Experience with utilizing John Deere systems preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
