A progressive grain and agribusiness operation is seeking a Grain Sales & Marketing Director to lead commercial strategy, grow market share, and strengthen client partnerships. This leadership role combines commodity trading expertise with team development and strategic business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a results-driven grain sales and marketing strategy
Manage and expand key customer and industry relationships
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team
Collaborate with logistics, operations, and finance to optimize performance
Identify and capture new opportunities in grain marketing and logistics
Monitor market trends, basis trading activity, and competitive landscape
Prepare revenue forecasts and detailed sales performance reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Logistics, or related field
3–5+ years of sales leadership in agriculture, grain, or supply chain/logistics
Proven experience in grain commodity and basis trading
Strong record of business development and team leadership
Familiarity with AGRIS or similar ag-specific systems (preferred)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours to support client needs
Remote-based with frequent travel across the region
Mix of office and agricultural facility settings, including grain operations
Must be comfortable climbing bins and occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs
