Position Overview
The Group Sales Associate is a highly motivated, dynamic sales professional who will develop relationships to cultivate and book new group business to Mt. Hood Meadows and Cooper Spur Mountain Resort on a seasonal basis, with an emphasis on winter groups, midweek, and shoulder season products. The Group Sales Associate will promote and sell group leisure and business events including ski and snowboard trips, catered events and activities, corporate and group meetings, overnight lodging, and special event activities.
The Group Sales Associate works directly with the Sales Manager, as well as the Marketing, Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Ski School departments at both resorts. The Group Sales Associate must have a comprehensive knowledge of Mt. Hood Meadows and Cooper Spur Mountain Resort products. Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills are required to balance selling, coordination efforts, and administrative work.
This is a full-time, seasonal position
Qualifications & Experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficient with Windows based computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Associate degree or 2+ years of sales experience Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business Must be a team player with the ability to work well with others throughout the organization Preferred Qualifications & Experience Strong passion for outdoor recreation including skiing or snowboarding Experience with RTP and Oracle based CRM customer management systems Knowledge of MHM ski area operations, services, terrain, and facilities Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus Compensation: Wage: $ 18.66 - $22.80 hourly + Commission, DOE Perks: Year-Round Housing Rentals Available.
