GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire a full-time Trailer Sales Manager to lead all 5 of our locations, primarily focused on our Iowa locations. PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of heavy-duty truck sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between sales, marketing, and customer service. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Conduct regular market analysis to understand customer needs and preferences, and adjust sales strategies accordingly. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and industry stakeholders. Work closely with the customer service team to address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales department. Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives. Regularly review sales performance data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement. Sell 200+ new and used trailers at assigned profit margins per year Above average sales skills Average or better knowledge of Heavy-Duty Trucks and trailers Travel to all locations required on a consistent basis Adherence to GATR Policies and Procedures, Safety Guidelines, Environmental Regulations, Equipment Rules, and other applicable regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: Self-assured and confident in his/her abilities Great attitude! Ability to comprehend instructions and information. 3 years of industry related sales experience and Sales Management Professional personal appearance. Excellent written and oral communication skills. PC proficiency, basic Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities Ability to adjust priorities quickly Excellent driving record /CDL License – preferred Good planning and organizational skills Attention to detail Desire to further training and knowledge Excellent phone sales skills and manners
