The Opportunity The company is actively realigning and revitalizing its sales organization to accelerate growth, and this role is a strategic investment in a new vertical go-to-market approach. This leader will be empowered to own, define and execute the strategy for the Health Plan vertical. The team is enhancing its market-based vertical alignment to develop a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within key segments, including Health and Blues Plans. The role involves leading a team of four reps, with the potential to hire two more.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the sales strategy for the Health Plan vertical, with a goal of building a pipeline 4x the team's quota.
Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, driving new logo growth for the company's portfolio of products, which includes an employer benefits analytics platform and a proprietary US claims database.
Hire and develop new team members to accelerate growth and meet strategic objectives.
Enhance the corporate understanding of the unique dynamics within the Health Plan vertical.
Serve as a credible subject matter expert with executive presence, capable of engaging with C-level stakeholders.
Candidate Profile (Non-Negotiables)
Deep experience in the healthcare space selling technology into the Employer/Health Plan market.
Proven track record as a "hunter" sales leader, with an emphasis on new logo acquisition.
Experience selling into mid-size to enterprise Health Plans and Blues plans.
Experience leading teams with a mix of new logo and account executive responsibilities is ideal.
A stable career history, as candidates with multiple 1-2 year stints will generally not be considered unless due to substantial merger or demonstrated success.
A mix of startup experience & established enterprise is ideal.
