Outside Sales Professional – Packaging Solutions A large, established packaging service company based in Illinois is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Professional to join their growing team. This role is designed for a self-motivated sales driver who thrives on building relationships, expanding accounts, and increasing revenue without the constraints of micromanagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Grow and manage a book of business while developing new customer relationships
Identify opportunities to provide value-driven packaging solutions across diverse industries
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presenting, closing, and ongoing account support
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service
Stay informed on market trends, competitive products, and distribution strategies
Qualifications:
3–5 years of successful sales experience in packaging solutions
Background in distribution sales strongly desired
Proven ability to expand and retain accounts through consultative, relationship-driven sales
Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset
Independent, motivated, and effective at driving results in an old-school, relationship-focused sales environment
Flexible travel expectations to support customer engagement and business growth
Compensation:
Base salary: $80K–$100K , commensurate with experience
Additional earning potential through uncapped commissions
