Job Summary: The Regional Aftermarket Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve regional parts and service sales targets. This role focuses on guiding sales strategy, account management, training, and career development of sales staff and regional managers.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Establishes clear, measurable sales goals for individual team members and ensures alignment with branch and departmental objectives
  • Develops strategies and plans tailored to each sales professional’s strengths, incorporating effective sales techniques and value propositions
  • Provides ongoing training and career development for sales staff and regional managers; coordinates vendor training and customer engagement events (e.g., fleet nights), offers one-on-one mentoring to support professional growth
  • Fosters a positive, dynamic, and competitive work environment; implements incentive programs that drive performance while safeguarding profit margins
  • Assigns accounts across regional markets in collaboration with local managers; monitors performance on top accounts and provides direct support as needed
  • Partners with recruiting teams to identify and hire top talent, leveraging regional knowledge to ensure the right team members are in place
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills; proven track record in customer retention
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and lead sales teams to achieve revenue growth
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Confident in delivering formal presentations to both small and large groups
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Results-driven with expertise in KPIs, business development, and market expansion
  • Technical aptitude and understanding of industry products and services
  • Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels and across customer organizations
  • Must be customer-sensitive and able to listen, understand and communicate professionally with all customers, both external and internal
  • Professional, adaptable, and must have the ability to handle changing priorities
  • Committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high product/technical knowledge
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and professional in conduct

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry required
  • Prior management of sales teams with diverse product offerings preferred
  • Minimum of one year of management experience required; three or more years of management experience strongly preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position directs and manages employees within assigned business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel required, to include overnight stays
  • Valid state issued Driver’s License required

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • Regular communication with customers and colleagues; must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Frequent standing, walking, and occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Occasionally moves or transports items weighing up to 30 lbs. as necessary
  • Requires use of visual and auditory senses for environmental awareness and safe work execution

Work Environment:

  • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
  • Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • On occasion, time spent in confined spaces and high elevated work areas
  • Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
