About The Position

Rapidly growing HVAC equipment distributor serving licensed contractors across Florida. We focus on residential split systems, mini-splits, strong inventory availability, competitive pricing, and direct dealer relationships. Our goal is to build a dominant contractor network statewide.

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven, field-focused HVAC Sales Representative to expand our contractor base along Florida's west coast. This is a high-activity outside sales role requiring daily in-person visits, consistent follow-up, and disciplined pipeline management.

Success in this role requires industry knowledge, persistence, and a strong work ethic.

Core Responsibilities:

Dealer Development

  • Conduct 10+ in-person contractor visits per day
  • Introduce products, pricing, and availability
  • Open new dealer accounts
  • Secure first-time orders
  • Maintain consistent follow-up

Pipeline & Reporting

  • Document all activity in CRM daily
  • Track prospects through each sales stage
  • Submit weekly activity reports

Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with contractors
  • Identify customer challenges and offer solutions

Market Awareness

  • Monitor competitor pricing and promotions
  • Identify market gaps and growth opportunities

Travel Requirements

  • Daily travel within West Coast Florida
  • Occasional overnight travel as territory expands

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience in HVAC (distribution, contractor, or manufacturer rep)
  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems
  • Proven sales or account development experience
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with cold visits
  • CRM proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Preferred:

  • Background with HVAC distributors (Johnstone, Baker, Ferguson, etc.)
  • Established contractor relationships
  • Knowledge of Florida HVAC market
  • Experience opening new accounts

Performance Expectations (First 6 Months)

  • 10+ contractor visits per day
  • 200+ visits per month
  • 2040 new dealer accounts opened monthly
  • 10+ first-time orders per month within 90 days
  • Consistent and accurate CRM usage
