Opportunities to make an impact: Being an integral part of the customer facing sales team.
Proactively working to help develop and support the account strategies led by our Account Managers, through the Inside Sales Engineers' knowledge of the customer's technical requirements, purchasing history and processes.
Working directly with customers as a key liaison to build and maintain relationships through understanding technical challenges and proposing solutions.
Directly impacting on sales revenue through understanding sale cycles and participating in direct follow up with procurement, plant maintenance, plant engineers, and consulting engineers.
Building a strong understanding of the customers' business, industry best practices, Emerson's technology portfolio, and value statements for our solutions, effectively communicating this value to generate profit for both the customer and Experitec.
Working with Account Managers, Customer Service, Order Management, factory personnel, direct team members and other departments to provide a no-equal customer experience.
Managing workload by setting expectations with customers and prioritizing work based on customer level, situation, and input from Account Managers.
Proactively communicating with the internal and external partners to keep everyone aware of status as it relates to proposals and purchase orders.
What does the Inside Sales Engineer do? In this position you will be responsible for communicating with end-users and consulting engineers to determine what is required in specific applications.
This communication will lead you to selecting and sizing the appropriate measurement technology. You will be required to quote the equipment and perform sales tasks after the delivery of the proposal.
Sales tasks include following up with the customer, discussing their status for buying, any changes required, and reason for why purchase order is not issued.
Processing incoming purchase orders related to quotes, assigned accounts, and unassigned accounts.
This position is part of our Measurement Inside Sales team within Experitec with the specific title of Inside Sales Engineer.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent.
Three or more years of industrial or technical work experience.
One or more years of customer service experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook email, and basic computer skills.
Experience using formulas to reference data across multiple worksheets.
Ability to work onsite in the office Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and to infrequently work additional hours. Opportunity for hybrid schedule after 6 months of training.
Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested for work travel.
Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver's license and the ability to pass driving record background check.
Ability to independently travel domestically as needed for training opportunities which may include some overnights.
Ability to wear PPE as appropriate for potential environmental hazards.
Ability to collaborate with team to utilize suggestions and input for success.
Flexible, assertive, stress-tolerant, and optimistic mindset, with a willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements and deadlines.
Proactive and self-motivated with strong organizational skills, ability to independently manage workload and set priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities: Bachelor's degree.
Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
Five or more years of industrial or technical work experience.
Two or more years of CRM experience.
Experience in instrumentation, manufacturing, and/or process control industries.
Two or more years of experience in face-to-face sales and customer engagement.
