We are seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and personable Inside Sales Representative Field Solutions to serve as a trusted partner for our clients in the fields of surveying, drones, progress cameras, environment monitoring, and site access control solutions.

Role Overview

  • This role is expected to be highly customer-facing and hands-on, serving as the bridge between OES Equipment's advanced field technology offerings and the construction professionals who rely on them.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs, guiding them to the right solution, and ensuring satisfaction through the entire equipment lifecyclefrom consultation to deployment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships through frequent site visits, demos, and solution consultations.
  • Act as a technical resource and sales consultant for customers across the following technologies:
  • Robotic total stations (Priority)
  • 3D laser scanners and other reality capture solutions (Priority)
  • UAVs and various payloads
  • Video-based progress monitoring platforms
  • Site access control and security systems
  • Environmental monitoring and IoT
  • Understand project-specific needs and propose tailored equipment or service solutions.
  • Lead product demonstrations and user onboarding sessions at client sites or remotely.
  • Proactively track customer experience, satisfaction, and ongoing needs to anticipate future requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales, field engineers, and vendor representatives to ensure successful integration of equipment into project workflows.
  • Stay current on evolving industry technology trends and serve as an internal advisor on implementation strategies.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Natural relationship-builder with a passion for solving problems and helping people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to simplify technical concepts for non-experts.
  • Confident in engaging with jobsite personnel, project engineers, and superintendents.
  • Technically adept in modern surveying and scanning tools, construction software platforms, and drone operation.
  • Enthusiastic and patient with a customer-service mindset and a high degree of accountability.
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work independently.

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, or reality capture required.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales or customer support preferred.
  • FAA Part 107 certification and/or Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.) is a plus.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Leica, Trimble, Topcon, Carlson, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
  • Construction supply and equipment industry knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with RentalMan (Wynne Software) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Coupa (P2P software) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed when handling demonstration or rental equipment.
  • Travel to job sites and client locations is expected (~25%).
  • Occasional fieldwork with equipment for demonstrations and troubleshooting is required.
