Sethmar Transportation, LLC seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual as an Inside Sales Representative. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with shippers, and coordinating with carriers and operations teams to deliver superior logistics solutions. You’ll play a key role in generating revenue and supporting the overall growth of the company.
What we are looking for this role to do: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads through cold calling, email outreach, and networking Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients in CRM Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers Understand customer freight requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions Negotiate competitive rates with shippers and carriers while maintaining profit margins Schedule and coordinate freight shipments from pickup to delivery Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate updates or delays to customers Collaborate with carrier sales and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of loads Resolve any service issues or disruptions quickly and professionally Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activity, and progress in CRM and TMS systems Follow up on past leads and lapsed clients to re-engage and win back business Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast demand, and target high-potential markets Participate in weekly sales meetings and contribute to team strategy Continuously improve product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor insights Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs Requirements: What you need to bring to the table: 2–3 years of inside sales experience, ideally within the logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation industry Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals in a competitive, high-volume environment Strong understanding of the freight market, transportation modes (e.g., FTL, LTL, intermodal), and supply chain concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — both written and verbal Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented with a competitive mindset Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and engaging in business development activities daily Experience using CRM systems and TMS platforms Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, pricing, and documentation Adaptability to shifting priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred (but not required) What We Offer: Competitive base salary plus commission Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays A collaborative and energetic team environment
