Description: Job description As a result of our growth, Vision Electric Wholesale (VEW) is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to generate, manage and close sales opportunities with existing customers and those that visit our store in Alhambra. VEW is a 19-year-old wholesale distributor of Electrical and Lighting supplies. As a woman-owned, minority-owned business, we serve a wide range of customer types such as government entities, municipalities, universities, hospitals, and commercial/residential electrical and lighting contractors in Southern California.
Our ideal candidate will have at least two years’ inside sales experience in wholesale distribution, preferably in the electrical and lighting industry. You are passionate about exceeding customer expectations, which leads to surpassing sales goals. You also are expert in managing the details of many projects simultaneously, adept at working independently and as a team member, and enjoy a fast-paced environment whose priorities can shift quickly. You also enjoy being a key member of a growing sales organization where your contributions are important, appreciated and recognized.
This full-time hourly position will work from our store in Alhambra. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Primary Duties
Achieve sales goals from existing customers assigned to you, sales opportunities you receive from other members of our sales team, and new customers that call or visit our store. To succeed, you must excel at
Customer relationship management to build trust in you and our company. Sourcing products, their availability, and pricing from our many suppliers. Project management to track details of your efforts and meet deadlines. Technology use including ERP (such as Prophet 21), CRM (such as HubSpot), manufacturer portals, texting, phone calls, email, and websites. Communicating verbally and in writing with management and the rest of our organization, along with suppliers and customers. Helping store visitors find the right product for their needs and creating orders for those products. Experience and Skills
Two years’ sales experience in wholesale distribution, preferably in the electrical and lighting industry. Proven success in communicating with customers, making outbound calls to existing customers, and following up on leads. Documented ability to achieve sales targets. High degree of comfort working in a fast-paced environment in which priorities adjust based on needs. Self-starter who is comfortable working independently, and in a team. Extreme attention to details. Strong multi-tasking skills. Comfort learning and adapting to new processes, products, and business relationships. Ability to take instructions and implement them accurately and professionally. Proficient in basic use of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, Gmail and Google Drive. Experience using ERP software (i.e. Prophet 21). Familiarity with using CRM Systems (i.e HubSpot). Ability to drive company vehicle. Comfort in using company phone system. Perform other job duties as assigned. Fluency in English and Spanish is an advantage. Job Perks
