JOB SUMMARY:
Will provide technical customer support to new and existing customer base, establish relationships with customers while providing support related to technical design, system design, and document design and troubleshooting. Will work closely with and develop relationships external our sales team and perform administrative functions for warranty returns.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining manuals, catalogs, brochures and other literature for the Sales/Marketing Department, as directed
- Provide technical assistance for the Airport, LIR FAM product lines as direct
- Research and develop new product application proposals, current product redesign and prototype proposals
- Provide technical representation for the Sales/Marketing Department. This will require travel to consultants, job site, contractors or regional FAA offices
- Interpret plans, specifications and drawjngs to determine product requirements and develop bills of materials
- Represent the Company at trade shows and other related marketing events.
- Facilitates customer visits and/or visits customer sites to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical assistance for departmental and manufacturing personnel
- Responsible for working safely and being conscious of safety for co-workers
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of college in mechanical technology or related degree
- Must have ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Possess and demonstrate positive mentoring and leadership qualities.
- Possess and practice superior oral and written communication skills.
- Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.
- Possess and utilize basic math skills and exercise superior organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Maintain and exhibit a positive attitude toward our work and our work environment.
EQUIPMENT LISTING (MACHINES, TOOLS & SOFTWARE):
Advanced computer skills that include AutoCAD, CNC programming, _______, _______, and the ability to send/receive e-mail. Must be able to read, create and change blueprints and drawings.
May be required to operate Printer, Copier, Fax Machine, Telephone, Scanner, and calculator, micrometers and gages, power tools, hand tools, forklifts and pallet jacks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inside Sales – Customer Service Rep. does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND DEMANDS:
Moderate Lifting: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects.
MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMAND:
Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, work on a computer, read, or control machines or processes at a rapid pace that requires close coordination and fine adjustment. Moderate mental and visual attention to direct manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Occupational Hazards – Work in an office environment where there is little exposure to changing temperatures, hazardous chemicals of moving parts.
Safety Equipment - May wear a variety of PPE when visiting the production floor, including safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes and other PPE in accordance with work tasks.
Production Environment – May visit the manufacturing environmental where the employee may encounter directly or indirectly, a variety of production machinery, transport equipment, welding work, and computerized equipment. During hot weather, work processes can produce condensation on the floor resulting in slippery conditions. Employees are required to wear steel toed, slip resistant shoes while working in production areas.
