ARTISAN Management Group is hiring a Leasing Sales Professional for Ingersoll Square Apartments — an upscale, modern apartment community located in one of Des Moines’ most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods.

Summary of Position

The Leasing Sales Professional is a sales-focused, relationship-driven team member responsible for maximizing occupancy and delivering a high-quality living experience. ARTISAN Leasing Professionals have excellent communication skills, think outside the box and build lasting relationships. They are highly qualified to deliver top-notch customer service plus understand and anticipate prospect and resident needs to create exceptional ARTISAN experiences.

This role plays a key part in achieving leasing, retention, and occupancy goals by using proven sales techniques, clear communication, and genuine care for both prospects and residents. At ARTISAN, Leasing Professionals don’t just lease apartments—they help people find their next home and ensure they feel welcome, supported, and excited to live in our communities. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others are essential.

This role offers a competitive base pay of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, with commission opportunities based on leasing performance. High-performing Leasing Professionals can also earn bonuses and merit-based raises, with a total earning potential of $55,000+ annually. Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct all business in accordance with ARTISAN policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.
  • Drive leasing performance by actively closing sales, overcoming objections, and guiding prospects from first contact through signed lease.
  • Assist in other projects and activities as needed.
  • Manage the full leasing cycle—including scheduling and leading tours, highlighting community features, completing lease documents, and ensuring homes are ready for move-in.
  • Understand each prospect’s needs and effectively sell the value of the community, showcasing how features and amenities align with their lifestyle.
  • Build strong rapport and follow up with leads to move them through the leasing funnel.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including all prospect communications, scheduled tours, applications, and leasing documents.
  • Respond to all incoming inquiries, calls, and messages with professionalism and urgency.
  • Stay current on market trends and competitor offerings to better position the property and support leasing goals.
  • Support resident retention efforts by promoting positive experiences, supporting renewals, and planning resident engagement events.
  • Collaborate with the onsite team to maintain a clean, welcoming environment, and support operational excellence.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a sales-oriented role. 6+ months of on-site leasing experience or a combination of customer service and sales experience and education preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, leasing, or a customer service-oriented environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to confidently close sales and manage a fast-paced leasing schedule
  • Proficiency in property management software a plus
  • A team-first mindset and a commitment to ARTISAN’s core values
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • College-level education preferred.
