Job Overview Cosmetic Sales Flex Colleague — also known as a Beauty Advisor Flex — is the trusted expert customers turn to for beauty. You will create personalized, inspiring shopping experiences that build confidence and drive sales.
You’ll educate customers, conduct product demonstrations, and provide tailored consultations, including makeup application and skincare recommendations. With strong product knowledge and trend awareness, you’ll introduce customers to new items and innovations that suit their needs and style. Building lasting client relationships is essential, with ongoing follow-up, virtual outreach, and personalized service to exceed expectations and achieve sales goals.

Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact — greet teammates, keep the sales floor clean and ready, review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay updated on trends and promotions to engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
On the floor, focus on the customer — provide a warm welcome, make eye contact, and build personal connections to foster customer relationships.
Maintain a shoppable space — recover the floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves.
Finish Strong — share loyalty benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them personally, using their name when possible.
Teamwork — support colleagues with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
Excellence as a journey — strive to improve daily, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from others to drive store results.
Flex Team Colleagues have minimum work requirements of 42 hours per quarter in the 1st–3rd fiscal quarters, and 60 hours in the 4th fiscal quarter. Hours and weekend shift requirements may change.
Who You Are
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to: understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships with customers, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application, and educating on benefits and use of beauty products
Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized and shoppable space, using clienteling tools, participating in sales events, and staying current through training and vendor education
Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience
At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required
Essential Physical Requirements
Talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
Standing for extended periods, lifting at least 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, reaching (including above eye level)
Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Frequent use of computers and technology, including handheld devices and cash register systems
