So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.About the jobWe are currently seeking a technically proficient and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to join our Life Science team, with a focus on the biotech and pharmaceutical market across the Northeast U.S. region. This is a strategic, customer-facing role that blends technical insight with business acumen-ideal for someone who understands complex process technologies and thrives on building relationships that drive revenue growth.You'll be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, and promoting high-value solutions through direct engagement and selective external sales channels. Your ability to connect with scientifically and technically sophisticated stakeholders, understand their process needs, and position Alfa Laval's technologies as the best-fit solution will be key to your success.This is a remote role averaging 50% travel across the Northeast. Preference is given to candidates located near major biotech hubs such as Boston, Philadelphia, or the D.C. metro area.As a part of the team, you will:Drive sales growth of high-speed separators and related technologies (e.g., decanters, membranes, evaporation systems)Engage directly with customers to understand their technical needs and present tailored solutionsCollaborate with internal experts to develop value-driven proposalsIdentify and qualify new prospects, especially in emerging biotech applicationsDeliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to a highly educated customer baseMaintain CRM data and contribute to pipeline development and forecastingStay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer challengesFollow established sales processes and guidelines to promote Alfa Laval products and servicesAnalyze market insights and customer buying behavior to develop strategic sales plansActively manage leads, customer grids, and proactive planning toolsDevelop value quotes that reflect customer needs and highlight our unique selling pointsWhat you know:You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biotech preferred), Chemistry, BioChemistry, or equivalent experience, and:3-5 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, product management, or process development-preferably in biotech, pharma, or life sciencesFamiliarity with high-speed separation technologies or single-use systems is a plusExperience working with biotech manufacturing processes or process development teamsProven success in customer-facing roles such as sales, applications engineering, or technical supportStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with scientific and technical stakeholdersProficiency in CRM tools and data-driven decision-makingA passion for solving complex technical problems and helping customers succeedWillingness to travel 50% across the Northeast U.S.We care about diversity, inclusion and equity in our recruitment processes. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.
