Outside Engineering Sales Representative

As an Outside Engineering Sales Representative representing Brucker, your main responsibility is to build and expand customer relations for account development. Account development requires that you maintain and expand existing accounts, while developing new accounts through prospecting and qualifying. This requires a deep understanding of Brucker’s represented manufacturers and the products offered. Customer accounts will primarily consist of consulting engineers and/or design build contractors.
All Brucker employees must maintain high levels of ethics and integrity, operating with a level of high energy, which allows them to continually meet and exceed their goals.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Travel to visit both existing and prospective customers. Travel with both existing and prospective customers to represent manufacturing facilities. Prepare and deliver both in-person and virtual technical presentations explaining products/services to existing and prospective customers. Engage and provide educational training opportunities to customers. Communicate with customers via email/phone to assess equipment needs and system requirements. Respond to requests in a timely fashion. Qualify and establish new accounts by identifying potential customers. Provide ballpark pricing to customers on equipment selections. Collaborate with the quotes team on equipment selections. Collaborate with the contractor sales team on projects out for bid. Provide post-sales support on existing installed equipment. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training events, ASHRAE meetings/trade shows, etc. Employee is responsible for effective account management through Salesforce CRM. Provide in-house technical assistance to other Brucker employees. Participate in represented manufacturing visits, events, and/or activities. Proactively work to achieve company goals and initiatives.

Competencies or Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years of HVAC, building systems technical sales and/or controls sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success. Technical or Engineering background preferred but not required. The ability to work independently within an entrepreneurial leadership team and exercise sound judgment. Knowledge of the technical sales industry is required.
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
