Title:  Outside Sales Executive Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Restoration Sales Professional to join our team in the Portland, OR metro area. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving new business by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and centers of influence within the restoration industry. You will act as the primary point of contact for new business opportunities, from initial response to project close, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all parties. The ideal candidate will be a driven, energetic professional with a passion for connecting with people and closing deals.  Bring your proven track-record in sales, strong communication skills and passion for the business and get people excited to work with us by building their trust. You should be a proactive self-starter that is motivated by uncapped earning potential, treating your territory as your own business.  Experience in the restoration or construction industries is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities in the Portland and Southwest Washington market through outside sales efforts, networking, and community engagement. This includes building and maintaining relationships with insurance agents, property managers, real estate professionals, multi-family and assisted living facilities, contractors (plumbers, roofers, HVAC), fire chiefs/departments, etc.
Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for new clients, providing exceptional customer service from the initial call to project completion. This includes responding to emergency service calls, explaining our restoration process, and securing signed contracts.
Project Scoping & Estimation: Conduct on-site inspections of properties damaged by water, fire, mold, or other disasters. Accurately scope the work needed and prepare detailed, comprehensive estimates using industry-standard software.
Sales & Marketing: Utilize a systematic business development process to identify and cultivate relationships with new commercial and residential prospects. Participate in marketing events, trade shows, and other networking activities to increase brand awareness.
Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets and consistently work towards revenue goals. Track and report key metrics such as lead generation, sales conversions, and project profitability to management.
Collaboration: Work closely with the project management and production teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution. Maintain open communication with all stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of progressively responsible business-to-business or outside sales experience, preferably in the restoration or construction industry.
Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of restoration services (water, fire, mold, etc.) is a plus.
Experience with estimating software is highly desirable, specifically Xactware and Docusketch.
A valid driver’s license, clean-driving record, reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the designated sales territory.
Ability to work in challenging situations and handle a flexible schedule, including occasional on-call rotation for emergency services.
