Position Title: Outside Sales Representative
Travel Requirement: 75%+


Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Outside Sales Representative with a proven track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with 5+ years of experience in outside sales, who thrives on traveling, building relationships from the ground up, and expanding market presence. This position is not focused on account management, but rather on strategic prospecting and turning cold leads into long-term customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in target markets, both regionally and nationally.
  • Actively travel to prospective customer sites, trade shows, and industry events to initiate contact and pitch our products/services.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through research, networking, and cold outreach.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations tailored to each potential customers needs.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with new customers.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales and marketing team to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Provide market feedback to assist with product development and competitive positioning.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new business sales targets.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales, with a strong emphasis on new business development.
  • Proven ability to independently prospect, pitch, and close new accounts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently while traveling.
  • Comfortable with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75% or more).
  • Knowledge of Food or Manufacturing Industry is a plus.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving new sales growth in a B2B environment.
