Established in 1986, N.A. Trading Company has steadily grown to become one of the premier Asian food importers/distributors in the Los Angeles area. N.A. Trading Company imports products mainly from Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. With over a thousand different kinds of food and merchandise items under well-known labels such as FOCO, Chaokoh, Aroy-D, Pantainorasingh, and our very own Three Deer Brand. Our most popular items include jasmine rice, canned coconut juice, coconut milk, instant noodles, mung bean, Thai tea drinks, and frozen durian.

As an Outside Sales Representative in our Asian Grocery division, you will be an essential component of our sales team pivotal in expanding our presence in the Orange County market, increasing sales revenues, and contributing to our continued success. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Representative to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, establishing and maintaining customer relationships, and expanding our clientele within the food service and grocery industry. This role involves travel to meet clients, attend industry events, and generate leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Present sales data including revenue, and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Conduct on-site visits to introduce product lines, process orders, deliver product training, and ensure responsive customer support.
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
  • Network by attending industry trade shows, conferences, and related events to build relationships and create sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Procurement team to ensure that client needs are met promptly.
  • Work with the internal team to create sales proposals and contracts.
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company's sales management system.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports giving insight into sales activities and performance.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to the satisfaction of both the customer and the company.

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience in the food industry or related field, with a track record of over-achieving targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a hunter mentality.
  • Proficient in MS Office/Google Suite and CRM/Sales Management software.
  • Ability to travel extensively as required by the position.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be fluent in Vietnamese and Chinese.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $41,491.79 - $65,000.00 per year
