Job Title: Outside Sales Representative Location: Buffalo 14206 Hybrid (Monday & Friday remote; Tuesday–Thursday on-site) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Salary: $60,000–$64,000 annually, based on experience Overview: We are seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative with experience in the steel industry or a related field. This role is responsible for cultivating customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical expertise on steel products. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales acumen, industry knowledge, and a proven ability to exceed revenue targets. Key Responsibilities: •Develop and maintain relationships with customers in construction, manufacturing, and other steel-related sectors • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals • Provide technical product recommendations tailored to customer needs • Negotiate pricing and contracts to close sales and meet revenue goals • Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, logistics, customer service) to ensure timely order fulfillment • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions • Attend trade shows, networking events, and company meetings as needed • Quote materials and processing services for customers • Execute spot buys to fulfill orders • Receive materials into inventory system • Process cash sales when necessary Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in steel, metals, or industrial products • Strong understanding of steel grades, applications, and product specifications • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Willingness to travel within assigned territory • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred • Experience with structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or specialty metals • Existing network of industry contacts is a plus Benefits: • Health, dental, and vision insurance • IRA with company match • Paid time off and holidays • Company-sponsored training and career development If you are a driven sales professional with a passion for the steel industry, we invite you to apply and grow with our team.
