Job Description Applications Engineer - Iron Melting Reporting to the Applications Engineering Manager, you will work in collaboration with Account Executives in the identification and execution of optimization opportunities for business growth within customers’ facilities. This includes presenting optimization solution proposals supported by CAD–CAFIS and MAGMASOFT simulation. As Applications Engineer, Coatings, you will be the voice of the customer and provide insight to develop customer market differentiation strategies as a technical liaison between the company and customer. As such, you will provide support to customers to demonstrate the value of company products. Additionally, you will assist in the development, administration, and execution of marketing strategies while developing and maintaining project plans to meet deadlines. You will work with Product Management, Product Development, and Operation Teams in the development and commercialization of new product designs. This position will require up to 60% local and overnight travel - some travel will be international. Are you looking to get back to OHIO. Qualifications You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science discipline - preferably Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. Additionally, you have 5+ years of metals casting experience and foundry processes including familiarity with gating and risering practices, metal treatment, refractories, coatings, and influencing factors. If you have experience in Six Sigma and Lean, it will be a definite asset.
