About the position:

Lubbock Electric Co. is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Counter Sales/ Inside Sales Representative who loves to solve problems for customers and work as part of a team. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing in our company as an electromechanical solutions expert. Prior experience with electrical and mechanical parts and equipment, whether as a salesperson, repair mechanic, or plant maintenance operator, is required. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level, friendly, and professional service to customers
• Field incoming calls from customers and create sales, repair, and service orders
• Sell parts and equipment to customers through the phone, email, and other telecommunication methods
• Determine the availability of products to best serve customer needs and coordinate the logistics of those orders
• Appropriately suggest the purchase of additional products when selling a part
• Pull products from shelves and package orders for shipment, delivery, or customer pick-up
• Inspect returned products and process RMAs according to company policy
• Keep orderly records of all orders and special-order parts
• Contact customers to give updates on order status
• Review open orders on a routine basis, ensuring all orders are completed and closed
• Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and put products on the shelves
• Keep current on new products and equipment maintenance practices
• Participate in all training programs that are made available
• Notify company management of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention
• Participate in inventory counts
• Be on call after hours on a rotational basis to handle emergency service requests
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of customer service and sales experience
• Previous electrical and mechanical parts advisor and counter sales experience OR experience working with electric motors, air compressors, hydraulic systems, controls, and power transmission equipment as a repair mechanic or plant maintenance operator
• Familiarity with electric motors, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, electric controls, electric supplies, and/or power transmission parts
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Computer skills
• Must be able to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to carry objects up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk frequently throughout the day

Preferred Qualifications:

• English-Spanish bilingualism is a plus

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the Sales Representative may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, rotating equipment, and forklifts in the repair shop and warehouse. You must be committed to working safely.

Work Schedule: 8:00 to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Overtime opportunities will be available through rotational on-call assignments.

Pay Range: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications and quality of references
