SUMMARY:
The Parts and Service Support Representative (PSSR) is responsible for driving parts and service sales growth and providing exceptional customer support within their assigned territory in the State of Virginia. Typical activities will include calling/visiting customers, prospecting/hunting new customers, developing strong customer relationships, preparing and presenting quotes/estimates, providing product demonstrations, and acting as an overall parts and service solutions-provider to customers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain existing accounts and ensure optimal customer experience
Prospect and assess territory for potential new customers
Promote and sell represented product lines throughout the territory
Prepare quotations for customers, follow up on sales and process orders
Develop and execute weekly territory plans and update customer visits in business system to capture opportunities
Conduct regular visits to customers’ job sites or in the field to inspect machines/fleets and make recommendations to customers for parts and service solutions
Champion and promote company promotional products and campaigns
Remain knowledgeable about company’s products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
Analyze current sales, determine additional areas for potential sales, develop strategies to acquire those sales
Proactively seek opportunities for new sales growth
Increase year over year part sales growth, parts gross margin and diversification in product and customer base
Collaborate with Sales and Service departments to ensure effective and seamless customer support within the territory
Attend industry events and tradeshows as required to represent the company and stay up to date on products
Complete additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years’ experience in an outside sales role
Experience developing and executing on a sales plan
Previous exposure to a heavy equipment/heavy truck work environment is preferred
Strong sales and customer service skills
Strong understanding of sales processes
Self-motivated, results orientated and motivated to meet sales targets
OTHER DETAILS
Primarily work in the territory
Some in office/administrative work
Periodic overnight travel required
