Role Specific Information Job Description About the Role As a vital member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service during transactions and in all customer interactions. Your focus on operational efficiency will help us create a memorable shopping experience for every customer. What You'll Do Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor, assisting them with their shopping needs while expertly operating the cash register, including scanning items, bagging merchandise, and processing various payment methods. Deliver prompt and courteous service by adhering to company standards for point of sale and customer interactions. Achieve individual sales goals, including credit and loyalty program sign-ups. Ensure inventory accuracy by accurately completing point of sale and merchandise handling procedures. Help onboard and train new team members by sharing best practices and operational knowledge to uphold Kohl's brand standards. Participate in daily operations, including register balancing, cash management, and inventory restocking. All associates at Kohl's share the responsibility to: Foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, and inclusivity. Exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making, seeking assistance when necessary. Maintain a proactive customer service approach, anticipating customer needs and resolving any issues efficiently. Handle multiple tasks successfully within set timelines. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Respond positively to direction from supervisors and team members. Perform additional tasks as assigned. What Skills You Have Required Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. No previous retail experience needed. Aged 16 years or older. Available to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Experience in client-facing roles within retail or service industries.
