Job Summary and Qualifications As a Pharmacy Technician II, you are responsible for accurately performing all advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. In addition, you may be responsible for performing duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets and other specialized duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team. You will use your skills and compassion in caring for our patients as an integral part of the hospital pharmacy team. In this role: Accurately performs audits (i.e. anesthesia, overrides, billing, etc.) as assigned Assists the pharmacists in clinical reviews as assigned (i.e. medication reconciliation, triaging reports, etc). Compounds chemotherapy preparation per established protocol Proficient in automated dispensing systems Troubleshoots Automated Dispensing Cabinets issues (i.e. orders not coming across, drawer failures, medication jams, communication failures, etc.) Able to reconfigure Automated Dispensing Cabinets (Automated Dispensing Cabinets) Able to perform Automated Dispensing Cabinets build and set up functions Under direction will adjust medication Min & Max Utilizes the Medications Not Loaded report to load appropriate Medications in Automated Dispensing Cabinets Under direction will perform Automated Dispensing Cabinets expiration audits Narcotic Discrepancy Audits Investigates Discrepancies to determine if true discrepancy and completes Audit sheets and/or incidence reports as appropriate. Monitor ADT activities and communicate any problems to appropriate individual Accurately packages and prepares medications for dispensing as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement" Qualifications One (1) year of hospital experience required (PharmTech) Pharmacy Technician License, or (CPhT) Certified Pharmacy Technician Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
