THE POSITION
As the Principal Application/System Sales Engineer, you will be the key technical expert accountable for creating and documenting standard applications and reference architectures to drive sales in your assigned vertical market. You will work closely with the sales and sales support teams to comprehend customer needs, develop customized solutions, and deliver impactful product demonstrations and presentations. Your deep knowledge of the company's products and their applications, combined with your ability to effectively communicate the value proposition, will be instrumental in driving sales growth. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance, conduct trainings, and build strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure successful solution development and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design the extra low voltage system infrastructure of a customer facility, including all relevant interfaces.
Own, document and maintain design choices with the related functional and financial impact.
Support development of the technical relationship with end-clients, consultants and contractors.
Support the sales organization to enable the further development of global named accounts.
Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements, developing tailored engineering solutions based on customer requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Strategic Sales, Offering Management, Solutions Consulting and Engineering to define system architecture, technical specifications, and integration requirements
Analyze customer applications and desired outcomes to develop optimal technical solutions.
Support sales function, including review of customer RFQs, specifications, and compliance requirements.
Participate in conferences to present and explain solution concepts, value propositions, and technical differentiation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies in respective vertical.
YOU MUST HAVE
Extensive experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, preferably in the field of application/system solutions.
Deep knowledge and insight of the company's products and their applications, as well as the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills to comprehend complex customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven track record of successfully driving sales and exceeding targets in a technical sales environment.
Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers.
WE VALUE
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Additional certifications or training in sales, technical solutions, or related areas.
Experience in selling application/system solutions to specific industries or verticals.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the field of application/system solutions.
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive successful sales outcomes.
Experience in conducting market research and thoughtfulness to identify new business opportunities.
