Reports to: Senior Director, Sales Engineering.What You’ll DoAchieve mastery of all Axon technologies / productsUse exceptional written and oral communication skills to lead business and technical presentations effectivelyEngage with IT departments (including CIOs), channel partner leadership and technical stakeholdersSet and manage expectations with customers and team membersProvide 1st-level technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle for opportunitiesDevelop relationships with key partners for growth within their customer baseProvide professional responses to customer RFPs / RFIsPosition the technology effectively against competitive offeringsRepresent the products, company values and brand at customers and events (industry conferences, tech summits, etc.)Improve or develop technical documentation to aid customer or channel usageCapture requested features and provide feedback to Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering and MarketingDevelop Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services necessary for binding quotesPerform other duties and projects as assignedWhat You BringWillingness to travel up to 50%Educational background: Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent), or 5+ years relevant experienceProfessional background: 5-7 years customer-facing technical pre-sales or consulting experienceExperience selling SaaS-based solutionsIntermediate knowledge of routing and switching methodologies, telecommunications, and IoT technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN gateways, wireless, proxies, etc.)Strong understanding of CCTV systems, video management systems, and access control technologies (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Ocularis)Experience with large-scale infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)Ability to work independently with substantial latitude for action and decision-making within a collaborative teamStrong presentation skills, technical acumen, and ability to simplify complex conceptsExperience developing SOWs or similar documentsIntellectual curiosity, humility, accountability and a positive approachNetwork and Telecommunication certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ (optional)Benefits That Benefit YouCompetitive salary and 401k with employer matchDiscretionary paid time offPaid parental leave for allMedical, dental, vision plansFitness programsEmotional & mental wellness supportLearning & development programsSnacks in offices where availableThe Pay: Axon is a total compensation company.
