Position Summary: Lead and scale a high-performing team of Loan Officers while maintaining your own book of business. You'll recruit, coach, and remove roadblocks, build deep relationships with our Credit Union partners and referral sources, and partner closely with Operations/Underwriting to run a fast, compliant pipeline.
Essential Functions: Team Leadership & Performance Management Recruit, hire, manage, lead, and motivate LOs and Loan Officer Assistants Ensuring quality performance through coaching, mentoring, and cost parameters Management of LO and Loan Officer Assistance timecards, reviews, and PIPs Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and high achievement. Lead regular sales meetings, training sessions, striving to achieve company goals, including production and budget. Business Development & Relationship Management Build and expand relationships with Realtors and Builders. Developing and maintaining relationships Compliance & System Oversight Ensuring the use of the LOS in line with federal, state, and company regulations. Partner with operations, underwriting, and processing teams to streamline and improve workflows. Product & Process Optimization Driving process improvements. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage sales with a proven track record of personal production At least 2 years in a sales or management role Active NMLS license (or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bilingual Spanish desired Know about utilizing a LOS system (Encompass experience a plus) Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action Excellent people skills: ability to work well with a diverse range of individuals and organizations, including media, partner organizations, funders, public agencies, and neighborhood residents. Team orientation, with proven ability to work collaboratively with staff and external parties. Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex subjects into engaging donor communications material Strong organizational and project management skills Professional verbal and written communication skills Utilize a solution-oriented framework for problem solving, working collaboratively with stakeholders to find a positive outcome while upholding our organizational values with a focus on advancing our mission. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Proficiency with CRM and email marketing software, Adobe Creative Suite or similar, WordPress; Preferred: HubSpot Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage conflicting priorities and to adjust priorities daily Excellent customer service skills, ability to de-escalate difficult situations
