Job Title: Product Manager – Mobile Hydraulic Systems Location: Wooster, OH preferred, but will consider Schaumburg, IL Travel: 30–40% Compensation: $100k - $125k + bonus and full benefits
Overview: A leading industrial solutions provider is seeking a Product Lead to drive strategic planning and execution for its modular flow control valve product line. This role bridges engineering, sales, and operations to deliver innovative hydraulic solutions tailored for off-road applications.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic product planning for mobile hydraulic systems Collect and prioritize market and customer requirements Serve as a user-focused liaison, representing customer needs Build relationships with engineering teams at key accounts Educate sales teams on new product capabilities and value-based sales strategies Provide technical consulting to support system-level solutions Conduct market benchmarking and competitive analysis Collaborate cross-functionally to meet business and customer goals Align product features with market demand and business strategy Deliver user and market feedback to guide product innovation
Requirements: Associate degree in engineering required; BS preferred Experience with hydraulic systems, especially modular flow control valves Familiarity with integrated block-style valve applications Knowledge of product management and engineering standards Strong initiative and follow-through on projects Ability to build effective relationships across teams
Preferred Qualifications: 3–5 years in hydraulic valve applications Experience with system sizing and valve selection tools Understanding of advanced product quality planning (APQP) Familiarity with profit and loss analysis and cost modeling Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
