About the Role Kimball Midwest is seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Sales Program Manager to lead and shape strategic initiatives across our State and Local Government contracts, with a primary focus on our OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract. This role is pivotal in driving contract adoption, influencing sales field strategy, and expanding our presence in the public procurement space. Reports To: Associate Director of Government Sales
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership: Act as the strategic owner to assigned contracts, including OMNIA Partners Cooperative Contract, overseeing contract execution, compliance, and long-term growth strategy. Sales Enablement: Partner with sales leadership to train and support field reps on contract utilization and cooperative purchasing benefits. Champion contract utilization across all levels of the sales organization. Education & Training: Design and lead impactful learning experiences, including webinars, ride-alongs, and live trainings that empower reps and customers to leverage available contracts. Performance Monitoring: Establish and oversee performance metrics for assigned contracts. Use data-driven insights to steer strategic initiatives, boost rep engagement, and accelerate growth. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with procurement teams at eligible agencies (state, local, nonprofit, education) to promote contract adoption and streamline purchasing processes. Marketing & Communication: Lead the development of promotional strategies and materials that elevate contract visibility and drive consistent messaging across channels. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Champion alignment between Government Sales and internal departments (Marketing, Pricing, Legal, Sales Enablement) to ensure contract initiatives support broader business objectives.
Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Government Sales, Contract Management, or Public Procurement. Proven success managing cooperative contracts, preferably with OMNIA Partners or similar GPOs. Strong understanding of government procurement regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable leading training sessions and customer meetings. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies. Experience working with CRM systems and sales performance dashboards. Preferred Attributes Familiarity with Kimball Midwest’s product offerings and sales structure. Experience supporting large-scale accounts and navigating complex procurement environments. Passion for public sector engagement and cooperative purchasing innovation.
