Summary of Responsibilities:
The Project Developer is responsible for managing the full sales cycle, guiding clients from initial inquiry through contract signing, while ensuring projects align with client needs and budgets. This role collaborates closely with the design and estimating teams, assists in developing design documents, prepares contracts and bids, and coordinates with subcontractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. The Project Developer also participates in continuous process improvements, maintains accurate project documentation, and represents the company at community and industry events.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial client contact to signing design and remodel contracts.
- Collaborate with design, estimating, and production teams to ensure accurate project scopes and smooth handoffs.
- Develop and present Comparative Remodel Analyses (CRAs) and design contracts to clients.
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, and coordinate with subcontractors and city officials as needed.
- Maintain project documentation, client records, and support continuous improvement of processes.
- Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and marketing opportunities.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time sales experience; remodeling or related industry background strongly recommended.
- Familiarity with construction methods, building systems, and codes; ability to read blueprints and perform basic estimating.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with estimating or drafting software (e.g., SAGE, AutoCAD) a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle and maintain follow-through with clients.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and staff.
Compensation:
Base + Commissions: Full-time, salaried position with a base of $80,000 per year plus commission opportunities. Project Developers receive 7% of
each project, with total annual earnings expected to reach up to $100,000+ in the first year.
