Overview
The Regional Sales Consultant advises and supports regional executive leadership in the execution of branch sales strategy. Drives continuous sales improvement by translating branch strategy into effective and feasible tactics. Provides guidance and coaching to enhance the quality of execution. Ensures that sales activities are consistent with organizational objectives, adhere to acceptable sales practices, and are fundamentally client-centric through ongoing consultation across Bank branches.
This on-site position could be based in Raleigh, Charlotte, Greensboro, or Winston-Salem and will require frequent travel
Responsibilities
Sales Execution - Acts as a subject matter expert on sales and sales management behaviors. Works with branch teams and partners to ensure sales strategies and production focus is in line with Bank or regional goals and initiatives. Ensures consistency in the branch delivery through day to day interactions and observations of sales and service delivery. Demonstrates effective sales and sales management behaviors. Leverages observations and sales reporting to identify trends, determine root causes, and present insights that drive the modification of tactics as needed to achieve exceptional performance. Drives effective utilization of a needs-based sales process.
Sales Coaching - Acts as a subject matter expert on sales coaching. Provides individual sales coaching and development for branch associates. Focuses on advancing sales skill and product knowledge with continual evaluation on development opportunities and gaps. Drives effective execution of sales management routines. Participates in the interview, on boarding, and talent assessment process for branch sales associates and managers.
Partnering - Partners with the Sales Effectiveness team to implement and manage sales programs and initiatives for branch teams, which may include leading sales conference calls, conducting sales huddles, ongoing communications, and recognition. Shares best practices across the region that can be leveraged to enhance performance. Acts as an advocate for the sales force ensuring obstacles to high levels of sales performance are identified and addressed. Meets regularly with regional managers and executives to share insights, gather feedback, and determine systemic issues that need to be addressed to enhance performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Sales Leadership or Sales Coaching in the Financial Services industry
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Sales Leadership or Sales Coaching in the Financial Services industry
License or Certification Type: Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.
Required Skills: Knowledge of banking products and services, Sales performance coaching
Ability to travel frequently, often with little notice, including overnight travel
