Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager - CNC Routers is responsible for all CNC Router and Knife System sales activities and growing sales in the designated territory annually. Sales territory: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales targets and quotas in assigned territories.
  • Understanding internal sales and price metrics and ensuring these requirements are met following company policies.
  • Develops and grows underutilized markets within assigned territory.
  • Responsible for ensuring all sales assets, especially leads, are properly protected and documented in the CRM.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all CRM-associated policies are adhered to.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Manages a conversion of leads provided by marketing through to completed sales.
  • Develops leads based on existing customer network from the CRM and other customer network opportunities.
  • Become proficient at conducting machinery and software demonstrations.
  • Prepares monthly forecasts for machinery sales along with recommendations and insights.
  • Participates in regular sales meetings to review all active leads and compare them to budgets.
  • Ensures all sales orders are properly documented in the CRM to ensure efficient flow through to production.
  • Participates in and represents AXYZ at Tradeshows, Open Houses, Industry/Association Events, Workshops, and Seminars.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing on lead generation initiatives that include mail-outs, samples, email blasts, tradeshows, and open houses.
  • Participates in annual reviews of sales performance.
  • Submits expenses on time (monthly) for approval. Maintains expenses to agreed budgets.
  • Continually develops and expands the technical and product knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in the relevant discipline (business, engineering, marketing, technical, etc.) required.
  • 7 to 10+ years of proven success in sales related to industrial equipment, or related products, is required.
  • Previous experience using CAD and or CAM software.
  • Completed accredited sales training education courses.
  • Demonstrated problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational/ time management skills.
  • High level of applied computer literacy skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel unrestricted throughout their sales territory which consists of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California. (Approximately 50% travel)
  • Experience demonstrating a high level of discretion with confidential information
  • Must have a passport and be willing to travel throughout North America.
