Regional Sales Manager Power Generation Northeast

Our client is a rapidly growing, privately held provider of commercial and industrial backup power solutions. With multiple facilities across North America, they specialize in the purchase, refurbishment, and sale of mission-critical equipment - including generators, ATS units, UPS systems, and HVAC infrastructure.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential growth opportunities, emerging trends, and customer needs. Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscape to develop effective business strategies.
  2. Business Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and market share growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with company goals.
  3. Customer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Understand their needs and challenges, and tailor solutions to meet those requirements effectively.
  4. New Business Identification: Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including new markets, industries, and customer segments. Assess the feasibility and profitability of new ventures.
  5. Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts to meet or exceed revenue targets. Develop and execute sales plans, negotiate contracts, and close deals with customers and partners.
  6. Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to expand market reach and enhance product/service offerings.
  7. Market Positioning: Work closely with marketing teams to position our products and services effectively in the market. Develop and execute marketing campaigns to support business development efforts.
  8. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and tactics.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA a huge plus).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of Power Generation, HVAC, MEP.
  • Experience working with General Contractors and selling to Data Center, K12, Healthcare, and Municipal.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to close complex technical sales deals.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What's On Offer

What's On Offer:

  • $70,000 - $80,000 base - $130,000-150,000 total compensation
  • Can be located anywhere in the northeast
