Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager will oversee a team of outside sales representatives selling our portfolio of outdoor living products and services through our expansive distribution network. This role is responsible for team performance, professional development, territory optimization, and sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to coach, motivate, and achieve results through external sales teams. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in developing our sales professionals and driving continued success in the marketplace. Responsibilities: Leads, mentors, and manages a team of outside sales representatives in assigned territories. Works with team to help them develop a strategy to increase sales and profits within the assigned territory for different customer segments including key, opportunity, new, and existing customers. Establishes clear sales targets and objectives for each representative; track progress and provide regular feedback. In conjunction with the Division General Manager and Regional Manager, develops, implements, and executes action plans to achieve desired results. Collaborates with Pricing Team and Division Leadership to provide input on local pricing strategies. Conducts regular field visits, ride-alongs, and performance reviews with sales staff. Provides ongoing sales training, product knowledge education, and professional development opportunities for the team. Champions, recognizes and rewards top performers. Provides coaching on all phases of the sales process, including negotiation, post-sale support and customer relationship management to sales staff and leadership. Analyzes sales data, team activity, and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize territory coverage. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key accounts, providing tailored support and driving growth/retention. Serves as a resource and support for regional and branch teams, assisting with implementation of sales best practices. Leads effective execution of product launches, marketing initiatives including Early Buy programs, Pool360 digital offerings, ensuring team and customer engagement. Resolves customer and sales team issues professionally and promptly. Collects and reports customer and field feedback to inform sales strategy, identify sales obstacles and drive improvements. Recruits and onboards new team members as necessary. Prepares and presents sales performance reports to senior management. Represents the company at trade shows, industry events, and network with key partners. Ensures customer call records for your team are maintained in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, completing reports and call records in a timely fashion. Stays current on competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends through ongoing research and analysis. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years' outside sales experience in distribution sales, or related industries. 2+ years of sales team management experience. Ample knowledge of one or more of these product lines: pool related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping / irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies or similar tangible goods. Experience with Digital sales tools and driving adoption. Ability to analyze and translate field/customer feedback into actionable strategies. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, coaching, and motivational abilities. Comfortable traveling regionally as required (up to XX%). Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools. Self-motivation and ability to work independently. Proficiency with Microsoft CE or other CRM and the entire Microsoft Suite (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Familiarity with Prelude or similar inventory management software is preferred. A valid driver's license, a satisfactory driving record no more than 2 violations within 3 years and willing to travel regularly within a designated area. 21 years of age or older to apply.
