Processing Manager with Closing exp – Mortgage Operations (Remote)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday -Eastern hours only

Salary: $80,000 annually

Location: Remote

A growing mortgage company is seeking a Processing/Closing Manager to build and lead a new processing department from the ground up. This is a hands-on role to start, with full responsibility for managing files before transitioning into leadership and team development.

To be considered, you must have recent experience as a Processing Manager overseeing a remote team.  Closing Experience is required. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in both processing and closing, be comfortable with manual loan files, and ready to help design workflows and hire staff as the department scales.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle, manual loan processing from intake through clear-to-close

Work closely with the closing department to ensure accurate and timely closings

Submit complete loan files, clear conditions, and maintain documentation accuracy

Build out department processes, workflows, and systems from scratch

Hire, train, and lead a team of remote processors as volume grows

Monitor pipeline health and team productivity

Maintain compliance with investor, agency, and internal standards

Report directly to senior leadership

Requirements:

Must work in Eastern time Zone

Must have been a Processing Manager within the last 12 months (required)

Must have experience managing a remote processing team (required)

5+ years of recent hands-on experience managing a processing team and processing mortgage loans

Must have hands-on closing experience

Familiarity with non-profit loan programs preferred

NMLS license preferred

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
