The Renewal Account Specialist, Sales is responsible for owning and executing a portfolio of renewal contracts across industries and product solutions. This position will be responsible for creating strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Account Management, Revenue Desk, and Legal to secure every renewal, minimizing financial attrition, and locking in the most favorable terms. The ideal candidate will understand sales strategies, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and a customer-centric approach. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Own, drive and manage the renewals process from opportunity to invoice, understanding pricing and contractual obligations.
Develop and execute win/win strategies for assigned account contract renewals that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing customer trust.
Partner with Account Executives/Account Managers to fully understand and develop clear and comprehensive 'win' strategies/renewal strategy for each customer
Maximize account growth opportunities by playing a collaborative role and helping to drive incremental opportunities upon contract renewal.
Identify expansion opportunities to generate additional revenue (upsell/cross-sell) ensuring that the appropriate Account Manager/Sales Reps are involved/engaged to maximize the opportunity
Pro-actively identify issues and identify customer requirements, to drive renewal to on-time closure.
Provide leadership with complete visibility to renewals and solicit executive involvement as required.
Accurately maintain/update a rolling forecast of renewals ensuring any uncovered risk is clearly communicated in order to develop proactive resolution strategies.
Act as a Renewals brand ambassador.
Prepare monthly forecasts of renewal bookings and renewal rates within a tight band of accuracy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of demonstrated success in a Sales, Professional Services Consulting, Account Management, or Business Development capacity preferably within an Enterprise SaaS organization.
3+ years’ experience working with large enterprise customers in a high growth technology company
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Prior experience negotiating multi-year services contracts preferred
Prior experience with enterprise CRM or customer service application, particularly salesforce.com
Clear understanding of Manhattan product solutions, subscription and renewal licensing models
